Rotary District 4050 Interact Leadership Conference
On December 2, 2017, members of Interact from Rotary District 4050 participated in the 2017 Leadership Conference. This conference was dedicated to providing networking, information sharing, and leadership discussions to youth interested in meaningful service projects, developing leadership skills, and meeting new friends.
Participants learned more about how to become the leaders of the next generation and give back to their Rotary communities. Through a series of presentations, discussions, and breakout sessions, participants were challenged to embrace leadership mentalities and come up with solutions to global and local problems.
SpeakOutBC Director Jamin Feng lead a seminar and had this to say: “We are focused on how we can attract and retain members in our Rotary Clubs by providing an incredible Rotary Brand Experience, making sure we are serving and engaging our members in a way that exceeds their expectations, give them value and ensures that they know being part of Rotary is worth their time, talent and treasure. And we want this day to be worth your time. Our goal is for you to leave today with a list of action steps that you will take when you go back to your clubs next week to start making a difference RIGHT AWAY.”
Overall, the conference was an amazing opportunity for young individuals to build up their skill sets and start thinking about how they can make a difference to others in 2018.
